- When used, has a roughly 60% chance to drop a penny, nickel or dime.
The exact chances are 50% for a penny, 5% for a nickel, 1% for a dime and 44% for nothing.

- This is a starting item for Keeper after he beats Isaac.
Sticky nickels and lucky pennies cannot be generated.
The item only costs 10 coins when found in a Shop.
Synergies[]
- 9 Volt: Allows for infinite generation of coins in a room with enemies.
Book of Virtues: Spawns tiny coin wisps in the middle ring. The wisps have a 50% chance to drop a random coin when destroyed.
- Car Battery: Two independent attempts of generating a coin, which can be of different values, effectively increasing the chance of generating at least one coin to around 83%.

- Wooden nickels are souvenir coins given out by some American banks. The adage "Don't take any wooden nickels" is a reminder to be cautious in one's dealings, since these coins have no monetary value.
