Temporary Buffs

Temporary buffs are effects applied to the player character that expire after a timed duration or on leaving a room.

Effect	Appearance	Description
Shield		Negates all types of damage for a variable amount of time depending on the item it's granted by, including health loss from Blood Donation Machines, Devil Beggars, and environmental hazards like spikes, Curse Room doors and Sacrifice Rooms. Does not prevent Heart Container or health loss from Health Down Pills, Devil Room deals, damage from IV Bag, or spawning a baby. The shield effect does not prevent Isaac from shooting tears.
Invulnerability		Negates all types of damage for a variable amount of time depending on the item it's granted by, including health loss from Blood Donation Machines, Devil Beggars, and environmental hazards like spikes, Curse Room doors and Sacrifice Rooms. Does not prevent Heart Container or health loss from Health Down Pills, Devil Room deals, damage from IV Bag, or spawning a baby. While invulnerable, Isaac loses the ability to shoot tears, and flashes in multiple colors for the duration of the effect.

Pill	Effect
Power Pill!	Temporarily grants invulnerability, inflicts fear on enemies in the room, and lets Isaac deal contact damage, similar to The Gamekid.
