Sulfuric Acid is a passive item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth †.
Effects[]
- +0.3 damage.
- Adds a 25% chance to fire acidic tears that destroy obstacles and open doors (including
Secret Room entrances) upon contact.
Notes[]
- The chance to fire an acid tear does not increase with luck.
- The acidic tears affect static objects like Bombs, but with some differences:
- They do not open Bomb Chests.
- They cannot bridge gaps with obstacles.
- Gaps are now bridged.
- Poop is not destroyed in one hit.
- The mirror leading to the Mirrored World cannot be destroyed.
- They do not open

- Brimstone/Technology/Tech X: Overrides Sulfuric Acid, stat bonus still applies.
- Lasers will sometimes destroy rocks, but will not open doors or secret rooms and has no color change.
- Broken Padlock: Locked doors can be opened by shooting at them.
- Dr. Fetus/Epic Fetus/Ipecac: Overrides Sulfuric Acid, stat bonus still applies.
- Finger!: The finger can destroy rocks when pointing at them.
- Spirit Sword: Only the energy beams can destroy rocks.
- The Forgotten: The Forgotten's bone club will have colored swings, but these do not have the ability to break rocks.
- The Ludovico Technique: The Ludovico tear occasionally becomes acidic.
- Mom's Knife: Overrides Sulfuric Acid, stat bonus still applies.
- Knife can destroy obstacles and open doors and secret rooms upon contact with no visual indicator.
- Rubber Cement: Acidic tears can no longer break objects and doors and just bounce.
- Spectral tears: Acidic tears will no longer be able to destroy obstacles or open secret rooms.
- Acidic tears break rocks and open secret rooms, without being broken themselves on impact.
- Tech.5/Technology 2: Only the stat bonus applies to the laser.
