The Para-Bite is a Monster that can be encountered in Chapter 4. It will move around the room until Isaac appears in its line of sight, prompting it to charge towards him and can deal a full heart of contact damage. They're also able to move underground and pop up in a different location, although they cannot spawn right under Isaac.

Scarred Para-Bite[]
Scarred Para-Bites behave similarly to regular Para-Bites and occasionally fire a short-ranged blood shot towards Isaac.

- Pure Magenta Champion Scarred Para-Bites will shoot two blood shots at different intervals.

- The name Para-Bite is a portmanteau of the words parasite and bite, with parasite meaning an organism that lives in or on another organism and benefits from it at the host's expense.
