Effects

Allows Isaac to unlock Locked Chests without using Keys.
- Locked doors, key blocks, and Mega Chests still require keys.

Notes

In addition to regular trinket drop sources, Paper Clip can be obtained as a possible reward from Key Masters.
Cain starts with this trinket after donating 68 coins to the Greed Donation Machine.

Interactions

Mom's Locket: Renders Mom's Locket less effective as the trinket requires a key to be consumed by the lock in order to heal Isaac.

Trivia

The pickup quote of this item is a reference to an infamous line from the first Resident Evil game.
Paper Clip is the only Beggar payout (coming from the Key Master) that is not a passive/active item. While Rotten Beggars and Battery Bums can also pay with trinkets, they do so as random drops, rather than payout.
