Old Capacitor is an unlockable trinket added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

- Active items don't charge when clearing rooms. Adds a high chance to spawn a
Lil' Battery when clearing a room, independent of the room's original drop.
- At base luck (0), the chance is 20%, maxing out at 33% at 4.34 Luck.

- The exact chance for a battery dropping is .
- This means that the chance starts at 20% at 0 Luck, minimizes at 0% at -6.67 Luck, and maximizes at 33% at 4.34 Luck.
- This trinket can be dropped whenever the active item needs recharging, then picked up again once the item is fully charged. For active items that aren't used every time they're recharged (such as the D6), using the trinket this way can generate many free batteries each floor.
Synergies[ | ]
- 4.5 Volt: Since the 4.5 Volt also makes it so that active items don't charge when clearing rooms, this trinket can be picked up with no downside.
- Dim Bulb + Mom's Purse / Smelter / "Gulp!" pill: Since items do not automatically recharge upon being used, being able to hold both Old Capacitor and Dim Bulb together will allow the latter's effects to be constantly active, while the batteries allow control over when exactly to charge active items.
- Jacob's Ladder / 120 Volt: Allows zaps to arc on the same enemy multiple times.
- Options?: Also offers alternate rewards for the extra batteries.

- The pickup quote is a reference to an old joke game by LeatherIceCream, one of the Antibirth devs, where he makes a Don't Starve dating sim which he titled "Voltage Voltage Starving".
