Mom's Box is an activated item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth.
Effects[]
- Increases luck by 1 and doubles the effects of certain trinkets while held. When used, drops a random trinket on the ground.
- In Repentance+, almost every trinket got a buffed effect while Mom's Box is carried.
This item belongs to the Yes Mother? set. Collecting three items from this set will transform Isaac into his mother.
Notes[]
- Most trinkets are not affected. Of the 188 trinkets in Repentance, only 72 have a doubled effect.
- This effect stacks additively with Golden Trinkets; holding one with Mom's Box will cause applicable trinkets to have triple the regular effect.
- Holding a second Mom's Box by using Schoolbag only increases luck, the effects of trinkets are not affected further.
Synergies[]
- Book of Virtues: Spawns a normal wisp with no unique effect.
- Gulp! Pill / Marbles / Smelter: Trinket effects are still doubled when permanently applied to Isaac.
- Broken Remote: Triggers the Teleport 2.0 effect whenever an activated item is used.
- Crystal Key: Increases the chance of red rooms spawning.
- NO!: Prevents items with quality 0 from appearing.
- Rosary Bead: Adds 4 Rosaries to all item pools. Upon picking up a Rosary, the effect will end.
- Tick: Boss' health will be reduced by 30%. Having the Tick also be golden does not further decrease boss' health.
- Hook Worm / Ring Worm / Wiggle Worm: In addition to the further stats increase, they have an increased effect on your tear trajectory.
Interactions[]
- Mother's Kiss: Grants double the heart containers but only one of them is filled.
- Void: Passive effects of Mom's Box are lost if absorbed.
No Effect[]
These trinkets are not affected by Mom's Box (excepted in Repentance+).
