- Upon dying, resurrect as
Lazarus Risen in the current room with one Red Heart container and Anemic.
Notes[]
- Resurrection items activate in a set order. Lazarus' Rags is 5th / 7th in this order after Soul of Lazarus, 1up!, Lazarus' extra life, Dead Cat, Inner Child, and Guppy's Collar.
- Lazarus Risen will earn completion marks for Lazarus, regardless of who the original character was.

Synergies[]
- Spindown Dice: Turns into Godhead when rerolled by Spindown Dice.
- Tainted Lazarus / Dead Tainted Lazarus: Revived as Tainted Lazarus / Dead Tainted Lazarus correspondingly instead of Lazarus Risen.
Interactions[]
- Birthright: Dying and reviving as any character will not give Lazarus Risen a damage boost, however, picking up Birthright as him will.
- Plan C: Isaac can use Plan C on end-game bosses (e.g. Hush, Delirium) and survive, although, if going for unlocks, he will get Lazarus's post-it notes instead.

Trivia[]
- When Tainted Forgotten dies and respawns using this item, the resulting Lazarus Risen appears as a horrifying amalgamation of skin and bones, with his head on top (seen here). While unsettling, this is purely visual and Lazarus Risen is still able to move and shoot as normal. This was originally a bug, but was left in because the developer Kilburn found it funny.[1]
