Found Soul is an unlockable trinket added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.
Contents
Effects[]
- Summons a Familiar that follows Isaac's exact movements, akin to
Jacob and Esau, and shoots spectral tears.
- The ghost uses Isaac's speed, tears, range, shot speed, tear effects, and trinkets, and deals 0.5x Isaac's damage.
- The familiar has collision and can be separated. Holding down the "drop" button keeps the familiar in place.
- When Isaac places a
Bomb, the familiar will drop one as well at no cost.
- The familiar can press
Buttons.
- The familiar dies after taking any damage, and will respawn on the next floor.

- If Found Soul is dropped before its death animation finishes, it will still be available for the current floor if picked up again.

Special Interactions[]
Abyss: Using Abyss will have the locusts orbit the soul. If the soul is dropped or dies, all locusts disappear and do not come back when picked back up or when it respawns next floor.
Anima Sola: Chains the same enemy twice at once, to no further effect.
- Anima Sola +
The Battery: Unchaining one of the enemies and using Anima Sola again allows chaining two enemies at once.
- Anima Sola +
Bag of Crafting: The soul will swing its own bag alongside Isaac collecting any pickups it hits resulting in pickup disappearance.
Book of the Dead: Bonies will follow the soul. The orbitals will still orbit around Isaac.
Breath of Life: Will kill the soul at any point during the charge.
Dark Arts: The soul will use Dark Arts along with Isaac. Enemies can be marked by both Isaac and the soul. It will gain its own damage boost.
Dead Sea Scrolls /
Metronome: The soul will double only the active effects that it can double.
Dream Catcher: The soul will receive half a soul heart upon going down to a new floor, allowing him to survive a hit.
Dull Razor: Allows the soul to activate items that would otherwise be useless, such as
Old Bandage,
Fanny Pack,
Varicose Veins etc. It can also be used to dodge damage.
Everything Jar: Regardless of current charges, the soul will always pay out with a poop on every use of the jar.
Jar of Wisps: The soul will spawn a single random wisp each time, and the amount spawned do not increment with each use.
Lemegeton: The soul will get its own Lemegeton wisps orbiting it, but none of them give their respective item effect.
- Lemegeton +
Book of Virtues: Wisps spawned by the soul while Isaac has Book of Virtues will be buffed.
- Lemegeton +
Magic Fingers: The damage is only applied from the soul's part, meaning this item will always deal less damage while the soul is carried around.
Mom's Bracelet: The soul can indeed pick up rocks and throw them, despite lacking sprite work.
Notched Axe: The soul can swing the axe once, then breaks permanently, unable to be recharged.
Red Key: With proper placement, the soul can open another red room, for free.
Sharp Key: The soul will throw its own key in tandem with Isaac. The throw still costs one key.
Scissors: The soul will spew its own blood fountain, but no extra head will spawn.
The Scooper: An extra Peeper familiar is not spawned; however, the soul will benefit from the right eye damage boost.
Other Interactions[]
120 Volt: Electric zaps will scale with Isaac's damage, instead of the soul's.
-
Azazel /

BFFS!: Does not affect the soul.
Brittle Bones: The soul does not benefit from the tears up.
Car Battery: Will not double any active used by the soul.
Eye of Greed: Coin tears fired still subtract coins.
Gnawed Leaf: Invincibility is independent of Isaac's movement.
Guillotine: No head orbital is granted to the soul. Other stats still apply.
Heartbreak: The ghost gains 2 extra hits per floor and every hit the soul takes will damage all enemies in the room as well.
IBS: The soul itself can never trigger IBS, however when Isaac receives a poop, so does the soul.
Isaac's Heart: The soul becomes immortal and can not be killed. Likely a soon-to-be-fixed bug.
Spirit Shackles: The soul will be chained next to the spot it got hit. Proceeding to not get hit again for a short time will revive the soul as normal.
