Fortune Cookie

Fortune Cookie is an activated item added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

Effects[ | ]

Gives Isaac a fortune, Soul Heart, Card, Rune, or trinket, similar to a Fortune Telling Machine. Fortunes are much more likely to be given than anything else.

Ironically, this item is unaffected by Luck.
On its own, this item is considerably worse at generating Cards, Runes, and Soul Hearts than Crystal Ball; Fortune Cookie produces 1 per 7.4 charges on average, while Crystal Ball produces 1 per 6 charges guaranteed. However, with 9 Volt, Fortune Cookie produces 1 per 3.7 charges on average, nearly twice as often as Crystal Ball.
- If you include the chance of trinkets generating, then Fortune Cookie will produce 1 per 6.6 charges, or 1 per 3.3 charges with 9 Volt.
Dice Shard, Emergency Contact, and Cracked Key can be generated by this item.
Using this item in a room with enemies, spikes, or other hazards can often make it difficult to see what is happening, as nearly half of the player's screen may be covered by a fortune. This can be circumvented by pausing the game and waiting for the fortune to disappear.

Book of Virtues: Spawns a green wisp on the middle ring. Each wisp gives Isaac +0.2 Luck.
