Dice Shard is a consumable item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth.

Effects

Upon use, it:

• rerolls all pedestal items in the room (like The D6)
• rerolls all pickups in the room (like the D20)

Notes

• Like runes, and despite having a different appearance, this item is counted as a card. Therefore, it will work with Blank Card as an effective combo.
  • This item cannot be mimicked by either Blank Card or Clear Rune, and Tarot Cloth has no effect on it.
• Dice Shard's ID was changed from 44 to 49.

Trivia

• The item's appearance is similar to The D6, but broken in half.
• Dice Shard is similar to Cracked Key in that they are both one-use broken versions of an active item. However, Dice Shard has an additional effect that The D6 lacks while Cracked Key simply replicates the use of Red Key.
• Despite being a dice item, Dice Shard is not an unlock.
  • This trait is shared with D10 and D7.
