The Dank Depths is one of the environments in chapter 3 added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth. The theme of the Dank Depths is tar, which can be found dripping from the ceiling and bubbling in pits. (except in Repentance) Rocks have a chance to be replaced with spikes.

The Dank Depths' alternate floors are the DepthsDepths and NecropolisNecropolis. The boss of the Dank Depths II is always Boss Mom ingameMom.
