Cursed Penny is an unlockable trinket added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

Effects

• Teleports Isaac to a random room upon picking up a coin.

Notes

• The effect can teleport Isaac to any room aside from an undiscovered Ultra Secret Room.

Interactions

• Black Candle: The teleport effect is removed, rendering Cursed Penny useless.
• Golden Trinket / Mom's Box: No effect.

Synergies:

• Voodoo Head: Since a coin always spawns in improved Curse Room layouts, the trinket can be used to exit them without taking damage. This is especially beneficial for The Lost and Tainted Lost.
• Tainted Keeper: Allows for farming infinite coins - you can kill an enemy in an uncleared room, collect a dropped coin and be teleported from the room, resetting it.

Bugs

Bug!	The effect can telport Isaac to the tall room with a broken minecart track in Mines/Ashpit II, if the player hasn't pressed all the yellow buttons and doesn't have a way to destroy the wooden door, the player can't do anything rendering the game softlocked
