Cain's Eye is an unlockable trinket.

Effects

• When starting a floor, 25% chance to gain the effect of The Compass for the duration of the floor.
  • The chance increases based on the Luck stat, and the formula used to determine the chance is: $\frac1 { 4 - \left \lfloor \mathit{Luck} \right \rfloor}$
    • At base luck (0), the chance is 25%, maxing out at 100% at 3 luck.

Notes

• Cannot appear in Greed Mode.
• Due to the very low luck requirement, this trinket can easily serve as an alternative to The Compass.

Synergies

• Book of Secrets: Can make it easier to gain X-Ray Vision as Book of Secrets cannot give a mapping effect Isaac already has.
• Glowing Hourglass: Traveling back to the previous floor and going back down may trigger the Cain's Eye if it hasn’t triggered before.

Trivia

• Due to the existence of Cain's Other Eye, this trinket is implied to be Cain's healthy eye.
