This article is about the monster. For co-op babies, see Co-op. For items that follow Isaac, see Familiar.

Babies are monsters encountered in DepthsDepths and WombWomb.

Babies slowly float towards Isaac, occasionally shooting a single blood shot. They can also teleport to anywhere in the room, occasionally close to Isaac. They usually teleport after a shot, the only random element is the shooting, and they have no specific cue to indicate incoming attacks.

Variants

The Baby Begotten floats toward Isaac, attempting to avoid Isaac's shots as it approaches. Unborn

(in Repentance)

Unborn fly towards Isaac in a circular pattern, and will periodically teleport near Isaac on another side of him.

Bugs

Bug Bug! If a Baby, Angelic Baby or Imp tries to shoot Isaac at the same time as it teleports, their shots will be fired without their corresponding animation.
Bug Bug! If an Imp is stunned, feared, or shrunken, it will still attack Isaac while running away from him.
