War est un boss qui peut apparaître dans The Depths ou The Necropolis. Il fait partie des 4 Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse, et il est le cavalier du Chapitre 3.

Comportement

Phase 1

War, quand il est sur son cheval, peut charger soit vers la droite soit vers la gauche. Il ne s'arrêtera alors pas avant d'avoir traversé l'écran trois fois.
Il peut également tirer une salve de tirs dans 8 directions.
Il peut occasionnellement quitter l'écran et faire apparaitre 5 troll bombes.

Phase 2

War perd sa monture et commence à charger tres rapidement le joueur, en s'arrêtant occasionnellement pour reprendre son souffle.

Version améliorée

Noir : fait apparaître 2 Super Troll bombs quand il quitte l'écran, et fais apparaître une seul troll bomb derrière lui quand il charge à travers l'écran. Il peut également tirer dans 6 directions quand il s'arrête pour reprendre son souffle dans sa deuxième forme.

Anecdotes

War est l'un des 4 Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse mentionnés dans la Bible.
Dans beaucoup de descriptions de War, il est montré tenant son épée verticalement, ce qui explique pourquoi de nombreux fan-arts le decrivent tenant son cheval à la verticale.
Même si sur l'écran d'affrontement, son cheval est marron, il est rouge une fois en jeu.
